Janice saw an opportunity to advance racial and gender equity by assisting Canadian food startup and scaleup entrepreneurs in achieving success after noticing that the black community represented less than 1% of the hospitality and culinary industry, thereby founding foodpreneur in 2019. Janice, a Black Woman, and entrepreneur in her own right is on a mission to level the playing field and open doors for aspiring

and established food entrepreneurs in underserved communities. Janice brings a wealth of experience to the food and business sectors, having mentored many young and experienced chefs who have been able to transfer those mentoring skills to food entrepreneurs.
